Canonical’s Response on NCSC Requirements

The default configuration of Ubuntu balances usability and security. However, systems carrying dedicated workloads can be further hardened to reduce their attack surface.

GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the UK’s lead technical authority on cyber security. Every service provider in the UK needs to follow the guidance from them, and use only software that is compliant with these strict regulations. In this whitepaper you can see how open source software supported by Canonical, including Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, MAAS and others, complies with the detailed requirements, and keeps your critical infrastructure safe.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any additional help with protecting your telecom infrastructure.
