Canonical are excited to welcome DataStax to its Charm Partner Programme.

Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme helps solution providers make best use of Canonical’s cloud orchestration tool, Juju; enabling instant integration, scaling at the click of a button, simple to share blueprint deployments and an easy way to deliver solutions in minutes.

DataStax delivers Apache Cassandra™ in a database platform purpose built for the performance and availability demands of Internet of Things (IOT), web and mobile applications, giving enterprises a secure always-on database that remains operationally simple when scaled in a single datacenter or across multiple datacenters and clouds. With in-memory computing capabilities, enterprise-level security, fast and powerful integrated analytics and enterprise search, visual management, and expert support, DataStax Enterprise (DSE) is the leading distributed database choice for online applications that require fast performance with no downtime.

Samuel Cozannet, Programme Manager at Canonical says: “DataStax is an invaluable addition to our ecosystem. With the team’s focus on fast performance and great management of time-series data, they perfectly complement  the work Canonical is doing in IoT in particular. I expect to see mind-blowing business solutions with fast analytics such as Spark Streaming backed by DSE appear on the marketplace very soon. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I’m also looking forward to PaaS or event-based decision-making solutions. We’re just getting started!”

Matt Rollender, Vice President of Cloud Strategy at DataStax says “Enterprises are increasingly adopting distributed database technology for mission-critical web, mobile and IOT applications – making use of the data they hold to quickly and efficiently create and deploy new services. By working with Canonical and the charm deployment option for Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise, users can leverage the Juju orchestration on leading cloud infrastructures.”
